Walter Reed Army Institute of Research R&D Facility Forest Glen, MD WRAIR is a technically advanced, highly flexible facility which houses multiple organizations that constitute the Army & Navy's major domestic biomedical research facility. The major design challenge was to create a research campus that felt academic rather than institutional or governmental, while adhering to Congressionally mandated budget and area constraints.

Kuwait Chamber of Commerce Headquarters Building Kuwait City, KuwaitTo communicate the mission of the Chamber and its roots in Islamic commerce, HLW developed the traditional concept of the caravanserai, the traditional mercantile fortress, as the design theme for the new headquarters complex. With its fortified walls, gates, open courtyard, and attached tower, the image of the Islamic caravanserai naturally stressed the Chamber抯 ideals of protection, unity, and communication.

This new facility is the headquarters for Rupert Murdoch and the senior executive group of Fox Broadcasting Company. As a high-tech facility, the building offers sophisticated telecommunications capabilities, state-of-the-art conferencing suites, and multi-media screening rooms.
