在SIGGRAPH展示会上Discreet宣布3ds max 6的新版本3ds max 6，
3ds max 6根据SEGA在内消费者的要求，加强了游戏和电影特效的功能，
3ds max 6新功能将包括：
高级浏览器；
复杂的场景管理器；
整合的mental ray、
vertex color painting；
design visualization tools；
支持CAD、
整合动力学reactor 2 ；
